Getting startedWhat is Show Me Your Pop Up?

Show Me Your Pop Up brings local food trucks, makers, markets and independent traders together so you can discover businesses and find out where and when they trade. A popup is a trading stop or event at a particular location and time.

Customers use the map, listings and saved vendors to plan visits. Vendors create a business profile and publish their trading locations. The portal is the browser version of the app.

Getting startedStart here: find your first popup
  1. Open the app or portal and sign in when prompted.
  2. Open Search and choose a place to explore, or allow location access to look nearby.
  3. Use the map and filters to browse active or upcoming popups.
  4. Open a pin, select View Details and check the location, dates and trading times.
  5. Save a vendor you would like to find again.

A free User account covers discovery; you do not need a paid vendor plan to find businesses.

Getting startedApp or web portal: what is the difference?

The mobile app runs on your phone. The web portal opens in a browser and gives you access to the app’s screens without installing it. Use the Go to the portal link to open it.

Location permissions are managed by your device on mobile and by your browser on the web. You can review notification preferences in the portal, but the current web preview does not deliver browser push alerts; those are delivered through registered mobile devices.

The service is preparing for public launch. Account access and available features may depend on the current release.

Discover & mapsFilter by status, category, distance and date

Open Filters on the Search screen. Narrow the map by trading status (Active now, Upcoming or Ended), vendor category, distance in miles, or a date/date range. Apply your choices to see matching popups.

Distance is measured from the search location or available location origin shown in the filter panel. Choose Anywhere to remove the radius restriction. Search for a place or enable location if the distance options are unavailable.

Date and status are separate. Choosing a future date does not change an Active now filter into Upcoming. If nothing matches, try All statuses, another date or Clear.

Location & technologyHow location, GPS and map pins work

GPS and device location services help the app estimate where your phone is. The browser or phone asks for permission before sharing your position. Buildings, signal conditions and device settings can affect accuracy.

Your own position, the place you searched for and a vendor’s published map pin can be different locations. A distance filter uses the origin shown in Filters; a popup pin tells customers where the trader has listed their pitch.

When checking in, vendors can keep the planned pin or update it to their actual pitch. Check the position before making the popup live.

Location & technologyAllow or fix location access

Allow location when prompted if you want nearby discovery or to check in at your current pitch. On mobile, review the app’s location permission in device settings. In the portal, use the site controls beside the browser address bar and review your browser’s location permission.

If your position is missing or wrong, check that device location is enabled, reopen the screen and try again. You can search for a place to explore the map when your current location is unavailable.

Location access and notification permission are separate settings. Enabling one does not enable the other.

Saved vendors & alertsSave a vendor and find it again

Open a business profile and select Save Vendor. Sign in or create an account when prompted. Use Saved Vendors / Favourites to return to the businesses you have saved and review their active and upcoming popups.

Saving follows the business, rather than just one trading stop. It does not book a visit or automatically switch on every notification. Saved vendors have their own alert controls for when they start and finish trading.

Saved vendors & alertsHow push notifications and permissions work

A push notification is an alert delivered to your phone even when you are not looking at the app. To receive one, enable notifications for the app in your device settings and turn on the relevant preference inside the app.

In Settings, review Push notifications and the alerts you want. Nearby popup alerts, saved-vendor alerts and vendor trading reminders have different controls.

The current web preview lets you review preferences, but browser push delivery is not available. Alerts use registered mobile devices. If an alert is missing, check device permissions, your in-app preferences and that the mobile app has been opened on that device.

Saved vendors & alertsGet start and finish alerts for a saved vendor

In Saved Vendors, open the vendor’s notification controls. Choose Tell me when they start trading and, if wanted, Tell me when they finish.

A finish alert is sent only after the matching start alert. Saved-vendor controls are separate from nearby popup alerts and still need notification permission on your mobile device.

Saved vendors & alertsNearby alerts and your notification location

In Settings, enable Nearby pop-up starts and choose the distance you want. These alerts use your chosen notification location, which can differ from the place you are currently viewing on the map.

Review the notification location and its update information if alerts seem to come from the wrong area. Automatic location updates can keep that location updated on supported mobile devices and require the relevant location permissions. Saved vendors have separate alert controls.

Saved vendors & alertsManage vendor trading reminders

Vendors can review popup notifications in Settings: Upcoming popup, Check-in reminder and Check-out reminder. Enable the reminders you want and check notification permission on your mobile device.

A reminder prompts you to act; it does not check you in or complete checkout for you. Review the schedule, start the session when ready and finish it when you stop trading.

Managing popupsSet up or update your business profile

Open Settings → Business Profile. Add or review your business name, description, contact details, services, social links and logo. Use the public profile preview to see how customers will see your business.

Your profile describes the business. Create a separate popup for each trading location and schedule you want customers to discover. Keep public contact information accurate and only publish details you want customers to see.

Managing popupsCreate a scheduled popup
  1. Set up your vendor business profile and open your popup dashboard.
  2. Choose Create Popup and enter the location, date and trading times.
  3. Check the map pin and correct it if it does not match your pitch.
  4. Review the listing and keep the details up to date if your plans change.

Visibility depends on your plan’s advance window. Vendor and Vendor Plus can check in when ready to trade. For an unplanned stop, Vendor Plus has instant Go Live.

Managing popupsSchedule repeating popups

Use the Repeat options when creating a popup if you regularly trade at the same place. Choose a frequency and a Repeat Until date, then review the dates before saving.

Vendor supports daily and weekly repeats for a series up to 30 days from its first date. Vendor Plus also supports monthly repeats and a series up to 90 days. Community Vendor does not include repeating schedules.

A repeat series creates scheduled occurrences; it does not check you in automatically. Daily occurrences are advertised on their trading day and remain pending until check-in. If the app reports that repeating popups are unavailable, use individual scheduled listings and report the message.

Managing popupsChange a popup’s location or schedule

Open the popup from your dashboard or upcoming events and choose Edit. Review its location, dates and trading times, save the changes and check the listing again.

For a scheduled check-in, you can keep the planned pin or update it to your actual pitch. If a live session needs a later closing time, use Extend Trading where available and confirm the new time.

Managing popupsWhen will my upcoming popup be visible?

Your plan controls how far ahead an upcoming event can be discovered: Community Vendor: 7 days, Vendor: 30 days, Vendor Plus: 90 days before its start date.

A date outside that window may be scheduled without appearing to customers yet. Check the event’s date, location and your current plan. Then check map filters, which may also hide a matching listing.

Check-in & Go LiveCheck in to a scheduled popup

Available on Vendor and Vendor Plus. Check-in starts a live session for a popup you have already scheduled.

  1. Open the scheduled popup and select Check In. The window opens one hour before the scheduled start and closes at the scheduled end.
  2. Complete any outstanding checkout from a previous popup.
  3. Allow location access and choose whether to keep the planned map pin or update it to your actual pitch.
  4. Wait for the “You’re Live” confirmation.

If the scheduled end has passed, update the schedule before trying again. Community Vendor does not include the Check In function.

Check-in & Go LiveUse instant Go Live for an unplanned stop

Available on Vendor Plus. Instant Go Live creates a live popup at your current location without needing a scheduled event first.

  1. At your trading pitch, select Go Live on the home screen.
  2. Allow location access.
  3. Choose how long you will trade.
  4. Select Go Live Now and wait for confirmation.

Use it when ready to welcome customers. Create a scheduled popup instead to announce a future date. Finish the instant session with End Location and checkout.

Check-in & Go LiveFinish trading and complete checkout

When you stop trading, open your active popup and use its checkout action. For an instant popup, select End Location and complete checkout.

Complete any outstanding checkout before starting another trading session. The scheduled closing time and completing the checkout form are separate: a session can have ended while checkout is still required.

Check-in & Go LiveExtend a live popup’s closing time

If you are still trading, open Extend Trading for the session where available. Choose the new closing date and time, then select Confirm New Closing Time. The new time must be in the future.

Wait for confirmation. If saving fails, the previous closing time still applies; check your connection and try again. The updated time is shown to customers and used for the next checkout reminder.

Location & technologyQR codes: share your business profile

A QR code is a square barcode a customer can scan with their phone’s camera to open your business profile. It helps people find your details, upcoming popups and Save Vendor action without searching by name.

  1. Open your public profile preview and choose Create QR Poster.
  2. Check the business details on the preview.
  3. Select Print or Save PDF. On mobile, Save PDF opens the device’s share sheet; in the browser, use the print dialog to print or save as PDF.
  4. Scan a sample before displaying it at your stall.

If printing or PDF saving is unavailable in your installed app build, try the portal or use the latest supported app build.

Troubleshooting & accountWhy is the map empty or my popup missing?
  1. Clear map filters, or choose All statuses and Anywhere.
  2. Check the date or date range and selected category.
  3. Search the correct area and zoom into the trading location.
  4. For your own listing, check the pin, schedule and plan’s visibility window.
  5. If the app shows a load error, retry after checking your connection.

An empty map may simply mean there are no matching popups in that area or date range. If a saved listing still fails to appear as expected, report the issue with its name and trading date.

Troubleshooting & accountWhy can’t I check in or Go Live?
  1. Check your plan: scheduled Check In needs Vendor or Vendor Plus; instant Go Live needs Vendor Plus.
  2. For scheduled check-in, check that you are between one hour before the start and the scheduled end.
  3. Complete any outstanding checkout.
  4. Check location permission and your connection.
  5. Wait for live confirmation; if it fails, report the error.

Troubleshooting & accountSign in, verification and password resets

Open the portal or app and use the email address registered to your account. If asked to verify your email, open the verification message and follow its link. Check junk or spam folders if it has not arrived.

If you have forgotten your password, use the password reset option on the sign-in screen and follow the reset email. Use the latest message if you have requested more than one.

If the link fails or you still cannot sign in, note the exact error and use the support route available to you. Keep your password and reset links private.

Plans & pricingManage or change your subscription

Open Settings and choose Subscription / Manage Subscription. Review the plan, price and purchase terms shown before confirming a change. Feature access depends on your current subscription level.

If a subscription is managed by an app store, use that store’s subscription controls to manage renewal or cancellation. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a store-managed subscription.

Troubleshooting & accountPrivacy, permissions and account deletion

Use device or browser settings to review location and notification permissions. See the Privacy Policy for how information is handled.

Use Settings → Delete account, or follow the account-deletion page if you cannot access the app. Review the deletion instructions before submitting your request. Cancel any app-store subscription separately to prevent renewal.

Troubleshooting & accountReport a problem or ask for help

Open Settings and select Report an Issue. Include the screen or feature you were using, the steps you took, what you expected, what happened and the exact error message. For listing problems, include the popup name, date and location.

State whether you are using the mobile app or web portal and, if known, the app version or browser. Do not include passwords, password-reset links or payment-card details.

Free

Discover local traders and plan a visit.

What this account is for

A User account is for people looking for food trucks, markets, makers and other local popups. It helps you find businesses and see where and when they are trading. You do not need a paid vendor subscription to browse.

How to use it

  1. Open the portal and sign in or create an account.
  2. Use the map and search to find nearby popups, a place or a business name.
  3. Browse active listings for traders who have checked in, or upcoming listings to plan a later visit.
  4. Open a business listing and review its location, trading times and business details before visiting.

Understanding the map

An upcoming popup shows a planned trading date. A live popup means the trader has checked in or used Go Live. Check the listing’s details for the location and times; these can change as the trader updates them.

If you also run a business

If you want to list your own popup, start with the Community Vendor guide. Choose a vendor account for business tools rather than upgrading just to discover local traders.

When another tier may help

If you trade regularly, need scheduled check-in or want customers to see dates up to 30 days ahead, Vendor at £9.99/month may suit you. If your locations change at short notice and you need instant Go Live, consider Vendor Plus.

£9.99 / month

  2. If a previous popup still needs checkout, complete its checkout form first.
  3. Allow location access. Choose whether to keep the planned map pin or update it to your actual pitch.
  4. Wait for the “You’re Live” confirmation before assuming the popup is active.

If the trading time has already ended, update the schedule before trying to check in again.

Go Live

On Vendor, you go live by checking in to an existing scheduled popup. The separate instant Go Live button requires Vendor Plus.

Finish trading

Use checkout when you finish trading. Complete any outstanding checkout before starting your next popup.

When Vendor Plus may help

£19.99 / month

Combine advance planning with instant visibility at your current trading location.

What this tier is for

Vendor Plus is for professional popup businesses with busy schedules or changing trading locations. Use scheduled popups for advance planning and instant Go Live when you are ready to trade without a pre-existing scheduled listing.

What is included

  • Everything in Vendor, including scheduled check-in and checkout.

  • Upcoming events visible 90 days before their start date.

How to use it

  1. Choose Vendor Plus in Settings → Manage Subscription and review the purchase terms.
  2. Complete your business profile.
  3. Create scheduled popups for planned trading dates so customers can discover them in advance.
  4. Use scheduled Check In for those listings, or instant Go Live for an unplanned trading stop.
  5. Finish each trading session with checkout.

Check-in: use an existing scheduled popup

Open the scheduled popup and select Check In from one hour before its start until its scheduled closing time. Allow location access and choose whether to keep the existing map pin or update it to your current pitch. Complete any outstanding checkout first, then wait for the live confirmation.

Instant Go Live: create a live popup now

  1. At your trading location, select Go Live on the home screen.
  2. Allow location access so the popup can use your current position.
  3. Choose how long you will be trading.
  4. Select Go Live Now and wait for confirmation that your popup is live for the chosen duration.

Instant Go Live creates a live popup without needing a scheduled event first. Use it when you are ready to serve customers, rather than to announce a future date.

Finish trading

For an active instant popup, select End Location and complete checkout when you finish. For a scheduled popup, use its checkout action. Complete outstanding checkout before starting another trading session.

Getting value from this tier

Plan known dates early to use the 90-day visibility window, and keep instant Go Live for changing locations or last-minute trading. If you mainly trade to a predictable schedule and do not need these extras, Vendor may cover your needs at a lower monthly cost.
